Welcome to the Tribute to Stagecoach in Oxfordshire website. Our site has been created with the intention of providing a comprehensive Tribute to Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, where interested parties can find all the information and they need.
The original parent company of Stagecoach South Midlands ran buses in different guises, namely Stagecoach in Banbury which operated local buses around the part of Oxfordshire known as Banbury, Stagecoach in Oxford, which operated local buses around Oxford city itself. In the middle of 2002 however, the two different guises merged and Stagecoach in Oxfordshire was formed.
The from the middle of 2004 onwards Stagecoach in Warwickshire and Stagecoach in Oxfordshire separated into two independent parts of the parent Stagecoach Group.
This holistic strategy erases the line between work and lifestyle and transforms the way people and organisations perform.
The local Stagecoach buses running in Oxford competed with the local Oxford Bus Company, because the city of Oxford is a city where there is no regulation or support for competition between bus service providers. In a similar vein the Oxford Tube coaches were in direct competition with the Espress service of the Oxford Bus Company. This open attitude towards competition between rival service providers ensured an excellent service for the locals, and was engendered with a view to maintaining Oxford’s reputation as a world famous university city, but was also made necessary because the city centre has a distinct lack of car parks and parking space availability.
